Thanksgiving came soooo fast, it’s like I didn’t have any time to prepare for it at all! And I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way. Trust me, I love shopping for a whole new outfit for special occasions, but who really has time for that? It’s only a few days away! In this post, I’ll show you an easy and cute Thanksgiving dinner outfit you can put together with pieces you already have in your closet!
Firstly, start with a basic button down. It can have a fun print like my green snakeskin top from Express (copped at Goodwill thooo), or go with a simple and neutral color one. Next, add one of your favorite shift dresses right on top! Super simple concept that not most people think to do. I love that this look is effortlessly chic. Then, you can take this look up one more notch and add a great belt to give you some shape. Go with sleek black tights, classic booties and you have a perfect look for Thanksgiving dinner! It’s comfy enough so your stomach can expand as much as it needs to, plus you still are put together! A win-win situation!
The links to some similar pieces are below, however, I challenge you to make a Thanksgiving dinner outfit from the clothes in your own closet! Thanksgiving is the perfect time to appreciate what you have; try appreciating all the clothes you already own. Since my move, I have to be even more creative with outfits because my closet shrunk about half its size, and Thanksgiving this year will be no different.

Love your website! Your relaxed approach to Thanksgiving dressing (not the stuff in the turkey!) is just the thing for our stressed-out, anxious times.
